Official Genesys Cloud release notes dated December 15, 2025 state that Genesys Cloud now supports the use of passkeys (WebAuthn) for multi-factor authentication. Previously only time-based generators (authenticator apps) were supported as MFA devices. Passkeys can be used as additional MFA devices such as built-in authenticators and physical security tokens. MFA applies only to native login; SSO users do not receive MFA prompts.
