Notes

Axon’s April 2026 DEMS (Evidence.com) release notes announce that starting in late April 2026, passkeys will begin rolling out to all credential-based (non-SSO) organizations and will be available to all users by the end of May 2026. After signing in with their password and verification code, users are prompted to enroll a passkey using fingerprint, face recognition, or a hardware security key, after which they can sign in without entering a password or verification code. The documentation states that passkeys meet CJIS and NIST SP 800-63-4 multifactor authentication requirements, indicating they are treated as a phishing-resistant MFA method.
